Info
Martina Hügli, born 1999, is a trained architect working at the intersection of architecture and hospitality. She completed her MSc in Architecture at ETH Zürich with a Master’s Thesis exploring conceptual innovations in hospitality design, which was nominated for the Theo Hotz Sponsorship Prize and awarded the ETH Medal 2026.
In parallel with her architectural education, she pursued independent residential projects in Istria, Croatia, exploring alternative approaches to tourist accommodation at a small scale. Together with Noëlle Haffter, she participated in architectural workshops in close collaboration with the Department for the Preservation of Monuments of the Canton of Bern and A+W Architekten, Kirchberg.
In 2026, Martina relocated to Hong Kong, moving into the owner-operator side of hospitality. Within the Projects Group of The Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels, she supports senior leadership across project, design, and business matters and contributes to the coordination and strategic oversight of hospitality projects from an owner’s perspective. Her role extends her architectural background into the broader processes shaping the development and operation of hospitality environments.
